As a Vice Principal at one of Canada’s only Self Directed High Schools, Kristi loves engaging with educators from around the world and sharing ideas on schools of the future. Thomas Haney Secondary is recognized as a showcase school, modelling a culture rich in student engagement, personalized learning, inquiry based learning and strong relationships.
Kristi is also a leadership teacher, passionate about making a positive difference in the school and the community. Current student projects include www.projecthello.ca where students help the homeless reconnect with family they have lost touch with, and www.beyondhello.org where the art of storytelling helps the homeless heal and allows students and the community to learn through empathy.
