Kilolo Moyo-White has been teaching in the Pennsylvania/ Delaware region for 15 years. The daughter of a master teacher, Dr. Kimya Moyo, Kilolo has dedicated her career as an educator to practice what she calls revolutionary pedagogy, through culturally responsive methodology. Proud graduate of one of the first HBCU’s Lincoln University, & The prestigious Temple University Department of African American Studies, Dr. Nathaniel Normant, Director. In her tenure as an educator Mrs. Moyo-White helped to co-author the founding curriculum for Sankofa Freedom Academy, and Philadelphia Freedom Schools JSL Project. A proud member of Educolor, a movement of revolutionary writers, educators and activists; Mrs. Moyo-White defines herself as a revolutionary educator and teaches through a methodology she calls: “Teach Akoma: The Moyo Affect”. Currently Mrs. Moyo-White teaches 8th grade ELA at Global Leadership Academy in West Philadelphia.
